Synopsis 剧情简介
元帝（趙雷）憑畫選妃，畫師毛延壽（洪波）乘機弄權，向後宮佳麗勒索，王昭君（林黛）不值其所為，其畫像被醜化，三年來冷落宮中，昭君憑琵琶訴怨，元帝聞聲召見昭君，驚為天人。畫師逃離中土，遭匈奴所擒，詐稱元帝派遣他來為公主昭君議婚，匈奴王於是獻上聘禮，元帝發怒拒絕。匈奴誤元帝悔婚，揮軍長安；昭君不忍累及蒼生遠嫁番邦……
Beyond the Great Wall is a true story based on how Wang Chao-Chun sacrificed her love and life for the good of the Chinese people during war time fears between China and the Huns. The iconic Linda Lin Dai gives a soul stirring performance as Wang, who is tricked into marrying the Hun leader. War averted, the truth is revealed to late, she kills herself. Life imitates art when sadly Linda committed suicide a few years later.
