Set in the midst of the 2009 US housing crisis, this darkly comedic story follows Sonny (Danny McBride – Pineapple Express, This Is The End), a disgruntled homeowner, and Cassie Fowler (Rosemarie DeWitt – Black Mirror, Poltergeist), a single mom and struggling realtor whose life goes off the rails when she witnesses a murder.

When the unstable Sonny turns up at Cassie’s office, things quickly spiral out of control. Despite Sonny’s assertion that he’s “a really good person,” he knocks Cassie out’ kidnaps her, and drags her along on his impulsive spree of violence.

After nearly forty years of marriage, JOAN and JOE CASTLEMAN (Glenn Close and Jonathan Pryce) are complements. Where Joe is casual, Joan is elegant, Where Joe is vain, Joan is self-effacing. And where Joe enjoys his very public role as Great American Novelist, Joan pours her considerable intellect, grace, charm, and diplomacy into the private role of Great Man’s Wife. Joe is about to be awarded the Nobel Prize for his acclaimed and prolific body of work. Joe’s literary star has blazed since he and Joan first met in the late 1950s, THE WIFE interweaves the story of the couple’s youthful passion and ambition with a portrait of a marriage thirty-plus years later, with a lifetime’s shared compromise.

For Nick (Jason Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and Dale (Charlie Day), the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable basses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few too many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers… permanently. There’s only one problem: even the best-laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.
