Prism Breaker depicts the collaboration between three major law enforcement agencies, namely, the Hong Kong Police Force, ICAC and Department of Justice. Although they are on different missions, but they risk their lives to deal with the evil force with the same righteousness. While investigating crime syndicate boss Tai Cho-fuk (Dominic Lam), SIP Chow Chun-kit (Bosco Wong) experiences the loss of loved ones and betrayal by colleagues. While looking into a case involving some snitch, ICAC Senior Investigator Ko Ho-yin (Kenneth Ma) faces the dilemma of turning against his family or disregarding justice. And DoJ DDPP Lau Yu-fan (Moses Chan) keeps seeking a balance between legal principles and human feelings. While playing the power game that is shrouded in mystery, these law enforcers unravel the conundrum and eventually bring the criminals to justice. The drama utilizes a tense and exciting narrative rhythm to describe the complexity of human nature and the brutality of struggle with emphasis on the lasting value of fairness and justice while reflecting on the dichotomy between human nature and power in the process of law enforcement.

Synopsis 剧情简介

一宗震驚全港的塌樓案，導致洛子峰、韋繼明、卓以凡、屠敏、方家晴各散東西。二十多年後，五個人終於重遇，卻已物是人非。洛子峰(黃宗澤飾)是廉政公署總調查主任，韋繼明(王浩信飾)則是警隊高級督察，兩人調查的案件不約而同牽扯到富商卓廷光(黃智賢飾)身上，此人正是卓以凡(吳卓羲飾)的養父。方家晴(黃智雯飾)經營廟街歌廳，同樣接連被捲入撲朔迷離的案件中。屠敏(胡定欣飾)從異地回流香港，掩飾其真正身份，神秘莫測。五人從昔日的純真，演變成如今的互相猜疑，共同陷入公義與私欲的鬥爭，無一倖免。

A building collapse case, which sends shock waves across Hong Kong, causes Lok Tsz-fung, Wai Kai-ming, Cheuk Yi-fan, To Man and Fong Ka-ching to lose contact with each other. Fast-forward more than twenty years and the quintet are eventually reunited. But they are vastly different individuals. Lok Tsz-fung (Bosco Wong) is ICAC Chief Investigator, and Wai Kai-ming (Vincent Wong) is Senior Inspector of Police. The cases that the duo investigate coincidentally implicate tycoon Cheuk Ting-kwong (Ben Wong), who happens to be Cheuk Yi-fan’s (Ron Ng) foster father. Fong Ka-ching (Mandy Wong) is the operator of a music club on Temple Street, and she is similarly embroiled in some bewildering case. To Man (Nancy Wu) returns to Hong Kong from somewhere afar. She is absolutely mysterious as her true identity is hidden. The quintet were simply innocent in the old days. And they have evolved into individuals that are suspicious of each other. Nobody is spared as they are trapped in a struggle between exploitation and justice.

After joining the police force, Kwok Pak-fei (Joel Chan), Keung Hey-man (Moon Lau) and Lau Lik (Jazz Lam) look up to their mentor Law Yau-bong. The quartet have developed a close relationship. Rewind three years, and Yau-bong is killed in the line of duty in a manhunt. And Lau Lik is seriously hurt. Hey-man blames Pak-fei for the tragedy as he is eager for quick success. Their friendship is broken. A serial murder case again brings Pak-fei and Hey-man together. Undercover officer Wan Ka-lei (Tiffany Lau) is instructed to infiltrate a crime syndicate. However, she runs into her ex-boyfriend Chiu Chun-long (Owen Cheung), and they get entangled. Pak-fei and Hey-man keep receiving mysterious messages, so their boss sets up Mysterious Message Intelligence Unit by merging the two teams of officers. They look into bewildering murder cases.
